Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) technology has garnered significant attention in the field of education due to its potential to revolutionize traditional teaching and learning methods. In the context of the Philippines, where the education system faces various challenges, including overcrowded classrooms and resource limitations, AR-based educational applications offer a novel approach to address these issues and enhance the quality of education. This research undertakes the development of AR-based educational applications specifically designed to cater to the unique needs of Philippine schools. These applications integrate digital information, 3D models, videos, and interactive elements into the real-world classroom environment, creating an immersive and engaging learning experience. The applications cover various subjects and grade levels, aligning with the national curriculum standards. The study evaluates the impact of these AR-based educational applications on learning outcomes, student engagement, and knowledge retention. Quantitative and qualitative assessments are conducted to measure the effectiveness of AR technology in improving student performance and motivation. Additionally, the research explores the perceptions and attitudes of teachers and students toward the integration of AR in the classroom. The findings of this study contribute valuable insights into the potential of AR technology to transform education in the Philippines. By harnessing the capabilities of AR-based educational applications, schools can create dynamic and interactive learning environments that cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of students. The research aims to inform education policymakers, educators, and technology developers about the benefits and challenges of implementing AR technology in Philippine schools, ultimately paving the way for the widespread adoption of innovative and effective educational tools. In conclusion, this research addresses the pressing need for educational innovation in the Philippine context and demonstrates how AR-based educational applications can play a pivotal role in improving learning outcomes and student engagement. The study underscores the importance of harnessing technology to enhance education and bridge gaps in the Philippine education system, ultimately contributing to the development of a more knowledgeable and skilled workforce for the country's future
